Role Overview
The Imaging Service Engineer 2 will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment in a healthcare setting. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, in-depth imaging service experience, and the ability to interact with healthcare professionals to resolve technology-based issues. The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, safety, customer service, and technical expertise, with a preference for experience servicing Cathlab, C-Arms, and Ultrasound equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, repair, and calibrate diagnostic imaging and therapeutic radiation equipment, systems, and instruments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues in collaboration with clinical healthcare providers.
- Ensure all work meets applicable regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide advanced support for equipment directly involved in patient care.
- Address customer service issues and complaints at an organizational level.
- Prepare required documentation and service reports accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate a safety-first approach in all service activities.
- Manage purchasing of parts and service with fiscal responsibility.
- Mentor and teach less experienced staff members.
Required Education And Experience
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline focused on managing, maintaining, and repairing clinical equipment in a healthcare environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Service experience with Cathlab, C-Arms, and Ultrasound equipment (strongly preferred).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions regarding troubleshooting and repair strategies.
