Job Description
Accountable for providing of safe and efficient Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging Services including Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound, CT Scanning, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Vascular ultrasound, Echocardiography and PFT. Assists with coordinating the day-to-day operations of the cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department. Duties will include the maintenance and coordination of proper staffing within the Departments (Technical staff and Clerical staff); monitoring expenditures so as to obtain maximum efficiency; assisting with the development and maintenance of testing standards, regulatory compliance, staff qualifications, Quality Assurance activities and assist with monitoring overall departmental function in a manner that is in accordance with New York State and accreditation standards. May manages direct patient caregivers and deals directly with patients or family. Understands expectations of physicians and works with site team to develop a referral base.
Education And Credentials
AAS - Associate of Applied Science in Clinical, Medical Imaging required. Graduate of Accredited School of Radiologic Technology required. BS - Bachelor of Science in Clinical, Medical Imaging preferred.
Experience
3 years of experience as staff technologist required. 1 year of experience in professional management experience to include materials management and budgeting preferred.
