We’re seeking an experienced
Diagnostic Imaging Manager to lead daily operations of a busy imaging department in
San Luis Obispo, California. This role focuses on operational leadership, quality, and efficient patient flow across imaging services.
Position Summary
Oversee technical and operational functions of the Diagnostic Imaging department, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow while supporting and leading imaging staff.
Requirements
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master’s degree: Preferred
- 5+ years registered technologist experience: Preferred
- 1+ year leadership experience: Preferred
Licenses / Certifications (Required – One Of The Following)
- ARRT: Radiography (R), CT, MRI, or Mammography
- ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
Essential Functions
- Coordinate and oversee all technical operations of the Diagnostic Imaging department
- Ensure timely patient throughput, prioritizing emergent cases and reducing wait times
- Monitor and manage RIS/PACS workflow and image quality
- Support compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to optimize department performance
