The Urology Sonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on the urinary tract, bladder, kidneys, prostate, and related organs. This role includes preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing and analyzing images, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic results for physician review. The sonographer maintains accurate patient records, follows safety and infection-control protocols, and provides compassionate patient care while supporting the clinical team.
Qualifications:
· Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, with ARDMS or equivalent certification in General or Abdominal Sonography.
· Minimum of 1–2 years of experience performing ultrasound exams; experience in urology preferred.
· Strong knowledge of urinary tract, kidney, bladder, and prostate anatomy and pathology.
· Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and imaging software.
· Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous professional growth.
Basic understanding of medical coding, documentation, and workflow efficiency preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $39.35 - $47.39 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 6 per week
