Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using ultrasound technology. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in medical terminology. The Sonographer will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and provide high-quality imaging services.
Duties
- Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and obstetric scans.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process.
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnosing conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Stay updated with advancements in sonography techniques and technologies.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the clinical environment.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
- Experience or techniques is desirable but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
