Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Technologist
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for operating various imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and other imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients comfortably and safely for imaging procedures
- Ensure all necessary patient information is recorded accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and results
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or related field
- Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a medical imaging setting
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
Work Environment:
This role operates primarily in a clinical setting, working closely with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals. A high level of physical stamina and endurance is required due to prolonged standing and lifting of heavy equipment.
