Job Description
As a vascular technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with diagnostic exams and therapeutic procedures. Your expertise will help patients receive accurate diagnoses and treatments for disorders affecting the circulation.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.
- Record and maintain test data, preparing preliminary interpretations of test results as assigned.
- Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.
- May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required.
- 1-2 years exp in vascular ultrasound preferred.
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT is required.
- BLS is required.
