Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Echo Tech. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in interventional radiology and cardiology, with the ability to work effectively in both emergency and trauma settings. You will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations and assisting in various procedures within the cath lab, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.
Duties
- Conduct radiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization and other diagnostic evaluations.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in procedural preparations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions.
- Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and the procedures being performed.
- Assist in the operation of sonography equipment when necessary.
- Participate in emergency medicine protocols, especially within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Echo cardiology, interventional radiology, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and telemetry practices.
- Familiarity with cath lab operations and protocols is essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and best practices for patient safety.
- Previous experience in a Level I or Level II trauma center is highly desirable.
