Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, providing essential diagnostic evaluations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This role requires a strong understanding of physiology, as well as proficiency in sonography techniques, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations for various medical specialties, including cardiology and emergency medicine.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of ultrasound findings in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist in the training of new staff or students in sonography techniques as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of imaging services.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques relevant to a Level II Trauma Center environment.
Qualifications
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or equivalent is required.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, radiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience in telemetry monitoring is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with lab procedures related to ultrasound imaging is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring quality patient care.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
