Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable PRN Sonographer to join our team on 2-3 days/wk. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of ultrasound exams and be comfortable working in a mobile setting. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient care are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and small parts imaging.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Travel to various locations, including healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and private residences, to perform imaging services.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients during procedures.
- Accurately document and report findings to the appropriate medical staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Coordinate with other team members and office staff to schedule and complete assignments.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Certification: Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sonographer.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in sonography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work environments and schedules.
Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Company vehicle provided during working hours.)
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment (25 lbs.) and maneuver patients.
- Ability to work in various environments, including patient homes and healthcare facilities.
- No weekends, call or holidays
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
- Mileage reimbursement for travel.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $33.36 - $37.17 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
