We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time or Per Diem Ultrasound Sonographer at our multi-modality outpatient imaging center in Fremont. Full time opportunities may also be available if other locations are considered.
Ultrasound sonographers will need to possess the ability to work independently performing outpatient ultrasounds with high quality results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general ultrasound exams, such as Breast, OB GYN, Vascular, Small Parts and Abdomen.
- Prepare patients for their ultrasound exam while explaining the exam in detail and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Review patient medical history in chart information and review prior exams per for comparison.
- Performs proper probe handling and cleaning per policy.
- Assist radiologist with ultrasound guided biopsies as needed.
- Ensure equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions to the office manager.
- Process exam paperwork in PACS system.
- Ability to interact with Radiologists on and off-site including communication of positive findings
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
Education and Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLS Certification
- Successful completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and successfully pass the Sonography Principles & Instrumentation Examination.
- At least 1 year of recent ultrasound experience (post externship) and ARDMS and/or ARRT certification is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills with providers, staff, management, patients and radiologists.
- May occasionally travel to our nearby centers for training or coverage when needed
- Bilingual is a plus! (Spanish, Hindi, Chinese)
License:
