Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will operate ultrasound equipment, capture high-quality images, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including AB/OB
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review patient history and physician orders to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
- Recognize and document normal and abnormal findings for physician interpretation.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the medical system.
- Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort during all procedures.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required or eligible.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and patient care practices.
