Duties
- Perform ultrasound scans with precision, and other diagnostic imaging needs
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination
- Apply aseptic techniques rigorously to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Utilize advanced sonography equipment to capture detailed images, adhering to protocols for quality and accuracy
- Interpret preliminary images and communicate findings effectively to physicians for further analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, images, and patient interactions in compliance with medical record standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive care plans based on imaging results while demonstrating excellent communication skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in sonography with a strong background in medical imaging techniques and anatomy knowledge
- Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) ultrasound procedures
- Solid understanding of physiology relevant to pregnancy and reproductive health
- Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic radiology principles, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment efficiently while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and collaborate effectively with medical teams
- Certification as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential preferred
- Prior experience working with patients in a clinical setting, demonstrating compassionate patient care
