About the Role
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll perform a wide variety of imaging procedures to produce diagnostic-quality images. This role requires independent judgment, technical skill, and a commitment to patient care while upholding Star Valley Health’s mission and values, to provide compassionate care to every person, every time.
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams, including Doppler vascular and abdominal studies
- Assist physicians with biopsies and invasive ultrasound procedures
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; calibrate and clean instruments
- Evaluate image quality and process images per protocol
- Maintain accurate records and compile data as required
- Provide guidance to students and new staff
- Comply with HIPAA and all federal, state, and local regulations
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program
- Registered or registry-eligible with ARDMS
- Current BLS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire)
- Additional certifications (vascular, cardiac echo) preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain confidentiality
