Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise in medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology will ensure high-quality imaging services that contribute to patient care excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver compassionate and precise imaging services.
This is a 20-week "travel assignment" part time position. Schedule is Tuesday-Thursday, 8 am - 12:30 pm. This position is mainly for breast ultrasound.
2-3 day paid training available March 10-12.
Start date March 24, tentative end date July 30.
Duties
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and addressing any concerns with clear communication skills
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of internal organs and tissues
- Apply proper aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed for optimal diagnostic results
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to interpret findings and assist in diagnosis
- Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, images, and technical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned following safety standards and medical imaging protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer with a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and diagnostic radiology principles
- Skilled in performing sonography procedures with attention to detail and patient care excellence
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent infections during invasive or sterile procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately for diagnostic purposes
- Certification or licensure as required by local health authorities or professional organizations
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, OneDrive. Training will be provided.
