Position Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist will perform and interpret gastroenterology ultrasounds at the Unio Los Gatos office.
This is a Part Time position working 2 days a week.
What You Will Be Doing
- Operation of ultrasound equipment to capture optimal images for various ultrasound exams which include full abdominal, right upper quadrant, post TIPS procedure evaluation, etc.
- Evaluate ultrasound exam results to identify expected and unexpected outcomes given the procedure plan as well as whether appropriate test guidelines and protocols were followed
- Report and summarize technical inferences and clinical findings
- Helping patients prepare for the procedure by explaining the process, helping them to move to the table, and preparing the skin surface by applying gel before using the equipment
- Communicate effectively with the patient and maintain his/her comfort level during the examination
What You Will Bring To The Team
- Must have at least 2 years of Ultrasound experience, gastroenterology experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with various ultrasound machines
- ARDMS AB certification is Required.
- Ability to use independent judgment to acquire the optimum diagnostic sonographic information in each examination performed
- Ability to evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to the physician
