Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced sonography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise in anatomy and physiology will be essential in delivering precise imaging services. You will work closely with patients, providing compassionate care while ensuring adherence to strict safety and aseptic techniques. Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring comfort and safety throughout the examination
- Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adjusting settings to optimize image quality for accurate diagnosis
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety during all procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret images, discuss findings, and assist in diagnosis
- Document procedures thoroughly, including patient information, imaging details, and technical notes in medical records
- Stay current with advancements in sonography technology, medical imaging standards, and relevant clinical practices
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Associates’ degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field accredited by CAAHEP;
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS);
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
