Wichita Radiological Group (WRG) is a diverse group of physicians who provide the highest standard of clinical expertise and patient care. As the largest subspecialty-focused practice in Wichita, our physicians bring a wide variety of subspecialty expertise in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology and radiation oncology.
Some job duties include:
- performing sonograms including Ob/Gyn, abdominal, vascular, interventional radiology, small part scans, breast; assisting in fine needle aspirations, breast biopsies and other necessary studies, working closely with radiologists, if ARRT certified performing mammography exams
- positioning and preparing patients for exams
- assessing patients throughout procedures and responding to patient’s needs as appropriate
- completing appropriate documentation for each study performed, constructing patient exam reports into View Point system
- demonstrating knowledge of universal protocols, and use professional judgment and critical thinking skills when performing procedures
- assisting with orientation and training of new staff and instructing students during their clinical rotations
- monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of care and identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration.
Required job qualifications include:
- Registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- Registered Vascular Technologist is preferred
- Current Base Life Support (BLS) verification course
- Experience in breast imaging is preferred
- One year of experience in an imaging department is preferred
- Registry by America Radiology of Radiologic Technologists is preferred but not required
