Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist will work in a high-volume Perinatal Center performing diagnostic ultrasounds for obstetric patients, including high-risk pregnancies and fetal abnormalities. This role focuses on Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) and requires strong OB/GYN ultrasound experience, particularly with nuchal translucency screening.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Experience in High-Risk OB, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications
- ARDMS OB/GYN
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification
(NT certification may be obtained prior to start if the technologist has experience performing these scans)
Required Skills
- Nuchal Translucency screening
- Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasounds
- High-risk OB imaging
- Adult and obstetric ultrasound procedures
Preferred Skills
- General ultrasound experience
- Amniocentesis assistance
- GE ultrasound equipment experience
Work Environment
- Outpatient Perinatal Center
- Adult patient population
- Average daily census: 10 patients
- 5 ultrasound rooms
- No floating required
- No call or weekend requirements
