Our private outpatient vascular office is currently seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and patient-centric Vascular Ultrasound Technician/Technologist to join our team. As the ultrasound tech you would perform arterial and venous ultrasound examinations of a patient’s lower extremities. The studies will be performed both in both the office and mobile settings (homes, SNFs). You assist the physician or provider with therapeutic procedures.
The vascular ultrasound tech will work as an active member of the healthcare team providing safe, effective and high quality patient care. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Perform arterial ultrasound examinations and ABIs for the purposes of diagnosing and assessing Peripheral Arterial Disease
- Perform venous ultrasound examinations, including venous reflux studies, for the diagnosis of Deep and Superficial Venous Thrombosis and Chronic Venous Insufficiency
- Assist the physician during superficial venous procedures including Radiofrequency Vein Ablation, VenaSeal, etc. If you do not have prior experience in this area then we can provide training.
- Collaborate with other clinic staff in the set-up and clean-up of the ultrasound room before and after each session to maintain efficient patient flow.
- Complete all appropriate reports following each patient interaction in a timely manner
- Submit diagnostic findings that accurately reflect each patient's disease process.
- Maintain equipment and image storage.
- Assist with management of relevant supply inventory.
- Maintain all licensure and state law requirements for the state of Florida
Qualifications:
- Licensed in the state of Florida
- Must be certified technician
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Base Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
