Cardiovascular Sonographer
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced cardiovascular sonographer to join our team at Southwest Cardiovascular Associates (SWCVA). As a cardiovascular sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound imaging services to our patients. You will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures to assess the heart, veins, and arteries
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures
- Obtain patient histories and review medical records
- Analyze ultrasound images and prepare reports
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cardiovascular imaging techniques
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
Qualifications:
- Registered cardiovascular sonographer (RCS) credential
- ARDMS certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in cardiovascular sonography or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a cardiovascular sonographer
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
