Quality Staffing Specialist are currently searching for a Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer.
Job Overview: An Echo Tech, or echocardiography technologist, operates ultrasound equipment to create images of a patient's heart, assesses its function, and provides data for physician diagnosis. Key responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, performing diagnostic procedures like echocardiograms, maintaining records, and ensuring image quality.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have 2 years of recent Echo Tech experience
- Must have previous travel/contract experience
- Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Adult Echo Skills Used: 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, M-Mode, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Portable Studies, Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT), Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT), Routine, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), and Treadmill Stress Echo.
- Pediatric Anomalies: Coarctaction of the Aorta, Tetrology of Fallot, Transposition of the Great Vessels, and Tricuspid and Pulmonary Atresia.
- Pediatric Echo Skills Used: 2-D/3-D Echo, Color Doppler, Continuous Wave Doppler, M-Mode, Portable Studies, Pulsed Wave Doppler, Right Ventricular Inflow Tract (RVIT), Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT), Routine, Scanning Complex Anomalies, Scanning Post-Surgical Repairs, and Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE).
- Professional Knowledge: Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Isolation Precautions and Procedures on patients in ICU/Emergency Department settings.
- Equipment Used: GE
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Trauma experience preferred
Location: Mooresville, NC
Rate: $1,960 - $2,200/weekly
Shifts Available: Days: 8:00am-4:30pm, 5x8 hour shifts
Scheduling Requirements:
- Length of contract: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 40
- Weekends: every third weekend
- On Call: every third weekend
Credential Requirements:
- Resume reflecting all experience & explanation of gaps in employment
- Bachelor's degree in vascular technology, sonography, radiology, or similar.
- RDCS/Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with The American Registry for Diagnostic Sonographers
- BLS Certification (AHA only)
