Vascular Sonographer – Nights (Travel/Local) – Des Moines, IA
Location: UnityPoint Health – Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, IA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 4x10hr Shifts, Nights (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

Compensation
- Travel Weekly Gross: $3,000.20 (includes $1,593.20 taxable + $1,407 non-taxable stipends)
- Local Weekly Gross: $2,500
- Local Hourly Rate: $62.50 | OT: $93.75/hour
- On Call: $9/hr | Call Back: 1.5x (2-hour minimum) | Charge/Precept: +$6/hr
Job Summary
UnityPoint Health – Iowa Lutheran Hospital is seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week night-shift contract. This role offers competitive pay packages, traveler-friendly policies, and the chance to make an impact across multiple campuses in Des Moines.
Responsibilities
- Perform vascular and general ultrasound studies on adult and pediatric patients.
- Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for physicians and clinical teams.
- Document and maintain accurate records within the EPIC EMR system.
- Support patient safety and comfort throughout exams.
- Be willing to float across Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist campuses.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in General/Vascular ultrasound.
- Must be comfortable with both pediatric and adult cases.
- ARDMS (AB) certification strongly preferred (submissions accepted without).
- RVT certification strongly preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- Prior EPIC EMR experience preferred.
Contract & Holiday Requirements
- Hours: 40 per week (4x10s, Nights).
- No weekend shifts required.
- Call coverage may be required.
- Winter Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).
- Limited time-off requests allowed between 11/26/25–11/30/25 and 12/23/25–1/2/26.
