Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality images are obtained for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and provide insights regarding patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical standards and protocols.
- Utilise knowledge of anatomy and physiology to identify abnormalities during examinations.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology
- Educate patients on the ultrasound process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience with imaging techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with mammography procedures is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage patient records effectively.
