About the Role
As an Ultrasound/Vascular Sonographer in Elizabeth City, you’ll provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients in a hospital-based setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced sonographers to grow their career in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general, vascular, and specialized ultrasound procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct advanced studies such as MSK, infant brain, elastography, and nuchal translucency (preferred for Level 3)
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses and patient care
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity during all procedures
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment as needed
- Document imaging studies and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and staff development
Requirements
- ARDMS certification in at least one specialty (vascular, abdominal, OB/GYN, or related)
- Additional certifications/skills in MSK, elastography, infant brain, or nuchal translucency strongly preferred (for Level 3 consideration)
- Hospital-based or interventional ultrasound experience preferred (for Level 2 consideration)
- Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Strong technical skills with attention to detail and patient-centered care
