POSITION SUMMARY: Produces ultrasonic images and participates in special studies under the clinical direction of a Radiologist or Physician. Evaluates quality of ultrasonic images. Provides a safe patient environment. Participates in other necessary activities in support of departmental operations.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: Senior status in a CAHEA (AMA) accredited radiography program, or its ultrasound equivalent or eligible to take the exam for accreditation (to be completed within three months of program completion).
BLS certification.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.

Reports To: Registered Ultrasound Technologist or Radiologist(s) for clinical direction. Supervisor, Ultrasound for clinical, operational and administrative issues.

Schedule: PRN- No Benefits, Rotating hours / rotating weekends, PRN as needed
