We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sonography and be proficient in performing diagnostic imaging procedures. This role is essential for providing high-quality patient care and accurate imaging results, particularly in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Travel pay package and contract details:
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend (Travel/Housing): $1,162.00 (Non-Taxable)
- Weekly Straight Pay: $1,541.20 (Taxable)
- Total Weekly Gross: $2,703.20
- Shift: M-F - 8 am- 4:30 pm
- 13 weeks
Job Description:
- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and cardiology staff to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently
- Document and archive imaging results according to facility protocols
- Work a consistent Monday–Friday daytime schedule
Requirements:
- ARDMS or CCI
- BLS
- COVID-19 vaccine (including booster if eligible, 5 months after last dose)
- Medical/Religious exemptions allowed; must test weekly and provide proof if requested
Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, focusing on maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn procedures.
- Utilize advanced sonography techniques to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately assess patient conditions.
- Implement aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret ultrasound results and assist in developing treatment plans.
- Ensure proper maintenance of imaging equipment and adhere to safety protocols within the clinical setting.
- Document all findings accurately in patient records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with medical regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography, particularly in maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Familiarity with medical imaging technologies and techniques relevant to ultrasound procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
