Under the direct supervision of the system Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the Ultrasound Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Ultrasound Department including but not limited to efficiency and effectively managing operations, budgets, employee relationships, patient engagement, QI QA and regulatory compliance. May assist is supporting ultrasound services at other Tanner sites of service to support patient care initiatives.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Education: Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework
Experience: Three years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.
Licenses and Certifications
- REGISTERED DIAGNOSTIC MEDICAL SONOGRAPHER
- DRIVER'S LICENSE
- HEALTHCARE PROVIDER (CPR)
Qualifications
- Must work well as a team member.
- Can communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must be detail oriented and well organized.
- Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in Ultrasound.
- Prefer 5 year's experience as a Sonographer.
- Prefer previous supervisory experience.
