Rothe is seeking an Imaging Specialist I to provide document and data conversion services for JSC/OCIO in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications using the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). Job Description:
- Daily tasks and responsibilities focus on, but are not limited to, scanning 8.5”x11” paper, microfilm/microfiche, and oversized drawings, etc.
- Outputting to searchable PDF format files.
- PDFs must be checked for proper orientation and scan quality.
- Accuracy, organization, high productivity, timely execution of duties, and independence are essential in this position.
- Document scanners and scanning applications along with Adobe Acrobat are used to perform daily work.
- The Microsoft Office suite of applications is used to communicate and track work within the department and with customers.
Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
Education:
High school education or equivalent; two years post-high school education, and/or a positive intern experience.
Experience:
- Possess working knowledge of Windows/PC platform and MS Office
- Ability to use Adobe Acrobat and understand its functions and file formats
Minimum Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box; Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must be detail-oriented to achieve set quality standards.
- Ability to work with both little supervision and in a team environment.
- Must be flexible and responsive to changing priorities.
