Come join our team! Cascade Cardiology is looking to hire a Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech to our growing cardiology clinic. The salary range is $48.00-$53.00 per hour and varies based on experience.
The ideal candidate should be a graduate of an accredited program in cardiac ultrasound and registered as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). We desire someone with at least one year of echo experience (but new graduates are welcome to apply). This individual should possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and superior knowledge of cardiac anatomy/physiology as well as pathology of the heart muscle, valves, and adjacent structures.
The Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech will be performing Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms as well as Carotid Ultrasounds and Abdominal Aortic Duplex exams. Training for Carotid Ultrasounds and Abdominal Aorta Duplex exams will be provided, if necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Conduct job duties in accordance with Cascade Cardiology’s policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment and performance of Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, Carotid Ultrasounds and Abdominal Aortic Duplex exams.
- Perform computer acquisition and processing of Ultrasound data and images for interpretation by cardiologists in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and established Cascade Cardiology policy and procedure.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures in accordance with Cascade Cardiology, manufacturer’s guidelines, and Cascade Cardiology policy and procedure.
- Ensure that all patient ultrasounds are reviewed for accuracy and quality before assigning exams to the physician.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform work-related duties as directed. The job duties and responsibilities of the Echo Tech include, but are not limited to, the previously described areas of duty and responsibility. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to compliance policies and procedures. Report any incident that appears unusual/deficient to department supervisor/manager or the compliance department.
Education and/or Experience:
- Degree from an accredited CAAHEP ultrasound program.
- Registered as an RDCS or RCS or able to obtain credentials within 6 months of hire.
- Training and experience performing Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms is required.
- Training and experience performing Carotid Ultrasounds and Abdominal Aorta Duplex exams is preferred. Training will be provided, if necessary.
- Knowledgeable and complies with safety practices and emergency protocols.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Knowledge and skills required to operate echo systems.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed exam protocols.
- Ability to work with patients with limited mobility and severe cardiovascular disease.
