Travel Sonographer – Echocardiography
Location: Stockton, California
Assignment Duration: 18 Weeks
Schedule: 10-hour day shifts | Start time: 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $65 – $70 per hour (W2)

Job Summary:

Perform diagnostic echocardiographic procedures to assess cardiac structures and function. Operate ultrasound equipment and work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct echocardiograms on patients according to physician orders and clinical protocols
Capture and analyze cardiac ultrasound images to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
Communicate findings clearly to interpreting cardiologists or supervising physicians
Maintain accurate records and patient documentation within the imaging system
Ensure cleanliness, functionality, and proper calibration of ultrasound equipment
Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding
Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care effectively
Adhere to safety and infection control standards in all procedures
Maintain knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to echocardiography
Manage daily workflow efficiently while delivering high-quality imaging services

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in cardiac sonography
Proficiency in performing 2D and Doppler echocardiographic exams
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, imaging protocols, and common pathologies
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Certifications Required:

BLS (Basic Life Support) – active and current
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – verified and active

Additional Details:

Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, starting at 7:00 AM
Assignment duration is 18 weeks with potential for extension
W2 pay structure between $65 – $70 per hour, depending on experience
High-functioning, collaborative team environment
No floating or night shifts required
