Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Imaging Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services, particularly in the fields of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology. This position requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient care, ensuring that patients receive accurate diagnoses and compassionate support throughout their imaging procedures. This is a night contract position, mandatory on call requirement.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including sonography and other medical imaging techniques, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide essential information for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Educate patients about the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have to ensure a positive experience.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in patient care.
Document all imaging procedures accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols.
Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring that all imaging devices are functioning properly.

Experience

Proven experience in maternal-fetal medicine or obstetrics/gynecology is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic radiology and sonography.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care while effectively communicating with patients and healthcare team members.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting is essential.
Previous experience in a healthcare environment involving medical imaging is preferred, showcasing an understanding of the technical aspects of the role.
